In its simplest terms, there are Six Degrees separating the earth from the wine found in the bottle: soil, vine, grapes, barrel, bottle, you.
More importantly, Six Degrees speaks to the connectedness found in the pleasures of sharing wine with those closest to you. There is perhaps no other beverage in the world that fosters the sense of community that wine does. Whether at the dinner or restaurant table, celebrating a marriage, a baby or just Tuesday night, wine is always there.
We hope that you'll share each bottle of Six Degrees with someone close to you .
2009 Six Degrees Tasting Notes
Rich and layered, with complex creamy chocolate, dark cherry and wild berry fruit that is spicy and aromatic, this wine shows incredible depth and richness. With tannins that give it traction, our 2009 vintage displays elegance across the palate and truly highlights the beauty of this vineyard. Give it a decade or more in the cellar to reveal all its intricacies.
Already amazingly seductive, with wonderfully rich aromas of cocoa, sweet oak and fully expressed fruit, this wine in no way lets up on the palate and delivers deep, multi-faceted flavors from first sip through finish. The first thing you'll notice on this wine is the intense, deep purple hue it shows in the glass. There's only one word for that: Powerful. The fruit and oak combine harmoniously on the palate, offering the silky textures and flavors that have become the standard that defines Six Degrees.
